ITTA & Professional Associates curriculum, as taught in Thailand, has been approved by the Thai Ministry of Education with the goal to meet and or exceed the recomendations as set by the new policies of the Thai government. ITTA's approach, developed with over 20 years professional experience teaching Thai Massage, provides exceptional learning possibilities in traditional techniques in the safest possible manner. This is because our provider schools and instutional partners are licensed by the Thai Gov't.
Level 1 Course description: Full Body Massage: (Supine, Side, Prone, Abdomenal, and Sitting postures): 134 positions
This course is designed for students who wish to acquire professionally recognized certification in a traditional and standardized form of Traditional Thai Medical Massage. (This course is equivalent to the ITTA/ SomaVeda Ayurvedic Thai Massage course, Level Two, taught stateside) Students learn traditional hands-on techniques to relieve stress, fatigue, stimulate circulation, and restore vitality in the entire body. This classic kata or form promotes detoxification and elimination of harmful wastes and sets the stage to balance the bodies energy and promote the general health, wellness and well being of both the therapists and the client. A brief background of Thai massage ethics and Sip Sen (10 Sen or Thai Energy Lines or meridians) theory will be discussed as well as basic theory. Because of the short term of this course it is recomended as either the first for a series or practitioner certification or as an introductory course for professionals with some existing certification. Credit is given for 30 class hours. Normal schedue is Monday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm. Please note: We guarantee Certification.

Please note: Exact Hours on Certification may vary. We guarantee that your minimum hours will be as ststed but there is some variation and overage. For example: your 300 program may actually end up being 320 hours. However it will not be less than 300. The same goes for the 500 and 600 hours programs... they may end up with more hours i.e. 520 and 650 or whatever the ned total is after all course work is tabulated, but they will in no case be less. Specific hours aas posted are meant to be a guideline only and are subject to change.

Classes are not taught by just anyone--they are all taught by Certified and recognized Master Instructors. All of our guides are professionally licensed and insured by the Thai Government. Most if not all are Thai Citizens with college degrees in related Humanities. This is NOT a classic budget trip/carry your own food sleep where you can/ get by as best you can (maybe) type of excursion- which some other less experienced agents may be offering. Do not settle for less than the best! If they are offering free accommodations or travel, you can bet there is some corner cutting somewhere!
