The project is sponsored by the Thailand Board of Investment and is scheduled for a soft opening on December 1, 2003. Two Thai corporations are supporting the Thai American joint venture, Seatran Travel Co., Ltd. will provide ferry services to and from the submarine and SMOP Consultants Co., Ltd. will be responsible for the marketing and reservations of the tours. Phuket Submarine Ltd. will operate a forty eight passenger submarine in the water surrounding Koh Dok Mai and Koh Maiton off the Southeast coast of phuket. The dives will be to a depth of thirty meters.
